MEET JENNIFER

Jennifer is a proud Washtenaw County native. Born and raised to hard-working parents in Ann Arbor, Jennifer attended Mack School, Slauson Middle School, and Pioneer High School. It was as a student at Pioneer where Jennifer first developed a love for helping our community through the legal system, serving as an intern with the district court. In college, Jennifer pursued a paralegal certification, knowing that she wanted to engage with the legal system in order to help people who were experiencing difficulties whether in criminal, civil, family, or probate court.
After college, Jennifer worked as a paralegal, where she was fortunate to have strong mentors who encouraged her to attend law school. Since law school, Jennifer has worked across multiple areas of law, including civil litigation, criminal defense, probate, and family law. Jennifer understands that as a Probate Judge, it is her responsibility to handle some of the most difficult guardianship, estate administration, and family court matters that a person can go through.

With nearly two decades of experience, Jennifer is not just a respected attorney, but has served as a leader in the Washtenaw County legal community, serving as a president of the Washtenaw County Bar Association, member of the Michigan Bar Association, President of the Women Lawyers Association of Michigan (Washtenaw), is admitted to practice before the U.S. District Courts for the Eastern and Western Districts of Michigan, and is engaged with numerous pro bono and volunteer endeavors across the community.

Outside of work, Jennifer is the proud mom of Karis and Jonas, and wife of Jason, a local small business owner. They are proudly raising their family in their hometown of Ann Arbor.
